Torque Limit Based On MPH
Found under: Turbocharger
Description:
There is only 1 processor codes that has a 5 value table for this type of boost control. It is 05029832AE. All the other codes only have a single value. To be able to use this funtion you need to start with one of these 2 codes. Setting this up will be subjective to the users preference because it is speed based. Some people will not want full boost until 3rg gear, but there is a whole range of speed 3rd gear can cover. 3rd gear at 2.5k is around 45mph, but 2nd gear at 6k is around 60mph and you may want full power there so it is subjective. Because this is a torque based function, some testing is required to achive your desired boost levels. Gear based boost works and is another option, but it's in the testing phase now.
Directions:
- Open up the Torque Limit Based on MPH table.
- Change the MPH values to start out with as 0,30,60,90,120. This covers the first 4 gears.
- change the Max torque allowed in each row. some basic starting numbers would be 175,175,245,500,500.
- Both zero MPH and your next setting speed should have the same value, but this is not totally necissary
- with the previously stated numbers you should have a limited first and second gear followed by full boost in 3rd and up.
- Test and alter as desired.
- Save tuning file.
