Rear Sync describes a type of flash technique used during photographic exposures. In traditional flash photography the flash fires at the beginning of the exposure, most commonly with shutter speeds of 250ms or faster.
A rear sync flash will flash at the beginning of the exposure as well as at the end. What would this be used for you ask? One of its best strengths is showing motion; set a 2 second exposure, fire off a rear sync flash shot while someone is moving and see the effects. Its on my favorite techniques.
It is also the name of this website, a home dedicated to displaying my personal photography.
Since your here, please stay a while an check things out.
